  • How to centre and throw on the potter's wheel
  • How to shape the clay and create different forms
  • How to trim, refine and add handles to your work, ready for bisque firing
  • An understanding of the firing process
  • Basic glaze theory, styles of glazing and glaze application
  • Studio tips, tricks and specialist knowledge gained over many years of practice

Class sizes are small (3-4 people), so you're guaranteed to receive personalised guidance and plenty of hands-on assistance.

The course includes:

  • Full tuition over four sessions
  • Step-by-step instruction for beginners
  • All tools, materials, and clay provided
  • One-on-one feedback and assistance
  • Firing and glazing of up to four finished pieces (extra work can be fired at an additional cost of $10 per item)

What to bring:

  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy

Please note, this class is suitable for 16+ years.

The class will proceed subject to meeting minimum numbers.

  • Additional info
